Fox News has just reported that AT&T’s longview cable network is about to be acquired by Comcast.
The news comes after AT>s purchase of Time Warner Cable earlier this year for $85.4 billion.
Comcast’s acquisition of Longview’s parent company, CMCSA, comes just a few months after Time Warner’s merger with Charter.
Time Warner is one of the largest cable companies in the country.
However, it is now expected to retain the rights to carry Comcast SportsNet LA, Fox Sports, FOX Sports New England, the FOX Sports Go and Fox Sports Now services, along with several other Fox programming, which includes NBA Countdown and The Big Lead.
Longview has long been a popular destination for cable customers in Longmont, Colorado, where it is located in the Longmont/Teller/Boulder area.
According to the Longview City Directory, the city is home to about 4,200 people and is home primarily to the area’s growing Hispanic population.
Longmont is a city of about 12,000 people, with about 6,500 people in the city’s metropolitan area.
In 2018, Longmont was named the third-best place in the nation for job growth, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
