How do you win with a rookie, a veteran or a guy with a head injury?

The Nashville Predators announced Thursday that they have acquired forward Jussi Jokinen from the Dallas Stars in exchange for defenseman Seth Jones and a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.

Jokinan, 22, has scored four goals and seven assists in 20 games with Dallas this season.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound native of Helsinki, Finland has registered 31 goals and 71 points in 75 career NHL games.

The Predators acquired Jokinin from the Columbus Blue Jackets in a trade with the Dallas organization on Jan. 3.

Jokannen, who was selected by Columbus with the fourth overall pick in 2011, has played in 39 career NHL playoff games with Columbus.

He has registered 33 goals and 72 points in 78 career NHL postseason games.

Jones, 21, recorded seven goals and 17 assists in 25 games with the Blackhawks last season.

He was traded to Chicago on Jan 1 and signed a two-year contract with the club on Jan 5.

The Predators selected the right-handed defenseman with the ninth overall pick (fifth overall in 2013) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

The Preds will face the Philadelphia Flyers at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday.
